DTC P1329

Common rail pressure higher than desired (engine running)

DETECTION CONDITION
•  PCM monitors common rail pressure using the fuel pressure sensor built in the common rail while engine running. If the actual fuel pressure is higher than 230 MPa {2,345 kgf/cm2, 33,359 psi} or the calculated pressure based on engine speed for 1 s, the PCM determines that the common rail pressure is higher than the required value.
•  PCM monitors common rail pressure using the fuel pressure sensor built in the common rail while engine running. If the actual fuel pressure is higher than 197 MPa {2,009 kgf/cm2, 28,565 psi} or calculated pressure based on engine speed for 60 s, the PCM determines that the common rail pressure higher then desired value.
Diagnostic support note
•  MIL illuminates if PCM detects the above malfunctioning condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
•  PENDING CODE is available if PCM detects the above malfunction conditions during first drive cycle.
•  FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
•  DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Suction control valve malfunction
•  Fuel pressure limiter malfunction
•  PCM malfunction
