COMPRESSION INSPECTION [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)]

•  Hot engines can cause severe burns. Be careful not to burn yourself during removal/installation of each component.
•  Fuel vapor is hazardous. It can very easily ignite, causing serious injury and damage. Always keep sparks and flames away from fuel.
•  Fuel line spills and leakage are dangerous. Fuel can ignite and cause serious injuries or death and damage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the “Fuel Line Safety Procedure” when servicing the fuel system, and remove the fuel pump relay. 1.  Verify that the battery is fully charged. (See ПРОВЕРКА АККУМУЛЯТОРНОЙ БАТАРЕИ [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].)

2.  Warm up the engine to the normal operating temperature.

3.  Remove the engine cover.

4.  Remove the glow plug relay.

5.  Remove the fuel injector electrical connector.

6.  Remove the glow plug. (See GLOW PLUG REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].)

7.  Install the SSTs into the glow plug hole.

8.  Crank the engine and measure the compression pressure.

9.  Measure the compression pressure for all cylinders.

10.  Remove the SSTs.

11.  Install the glow plug. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6)].)

12.  Install the fuel injector electrical connector.

13.  Install the glow plug relay.

14.  Install the engine cover.
