DTC P2227

BARO sensor range/performance malfunction

DETECTION CONDITION
•  The PCM monitors the input signal from the barometric pressure sensor. If the difference between the barometric pressure input from the barometric pressure sensor and the manifold absolute pressure is more than 10 kPa {75 mmHg, 3.0 inHg}, the PCM determines that there is a malfunction in the barometric pressure sensor.
Diagnostic support note
•  The MIL illuminates if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition in two consecutive drive cycles or in one drive cycle while the DTC for the same malfunction has been stored in the PCM.
•  PENDING CODE is available if the PCM detects the above malfunction condition during the first drive cycle.
•  FREEZE FRAME DATA is available.
•  DTC is stored in the PCM memory.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  BARO sensor (integrated in PCM) malfunction
