Fuel-filler switch circuit low

DETECTION CONDITION
•  The fuel additive control module monitors the fuel-filler switch signal circuit at fuel additive control module terminal 16. If the fuel-filler switch signal voltage is below threshold, the fuel additive control module determines that the fuel-filler switch circuit low.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Short to ground circuit between fuel additive control module terminal 16 and fuel-filler switch terminal A
•  Short circuit between fuel additive control module terminal 15 and 16
•  Replaced new fuel additive control module never saw a fuel-filler lid opening and closing

VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED
•  Has the FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Record the FREEZE FRAME DATA on the repair order, then go to the next step.

VERIFY REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
•  Verify related service repair information availability.
•  Is any related repair information available?
Yes
Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information.
If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT FUEL-FILLER SWITCH SIGNAL CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND
•  Turn the engine switch off.
•  Disconnect fuel additive control module and fuel-filler switch connector
•  Verify continuity at harness-side connectors between fuel additive control module terminal 16 and fuel-filler switch terminal A.
•  Is there continuity?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the wiring harness for open, then go to Step 5.

INSPECT SHORT FOR FUEL-FILLER SWITCH SIGNAL AND GROUND CIRCUIT
•  The fuel additive control module and the fuel additive pump disconnected.
•  Verify continuity at harness-side connectors between fuel additive control module terminal 15 and 16.
•  Is there continuity?
Yes
Repair or replace short circuit, then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.
5
VERIFY THAT DTC P2410 TROUBLESHOOTING IS COMPLETED
•  Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
•  Clear the DTC from the fuel additive control module memory using the M-MDS.
•  Start the engine and warm-up to normal operating temperature.
•  Retrieve the DTC using the M-MDS.
•  Is the PENDING CODE same DTC present?
Yes
Replace fuel additive control module, then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
•  Perform "After Repair Procedure".
•  Is there any DTC present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
Troubleshooting completed.
