Fuel additive level too low/empty

DETECTION CONDITION
•  The fuel additive control module monitors the fuel additive amount in fuel additive tank using fuel additive level sensor. If fuel additive control module detects that empty fuel additive tank or measured additive value in fuel additive tank is much below reference value, the fuel additive control module determines the fuel additive is too low/empty in fuel additive tank.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  No fuel additive in fuel additive tank
•  Fuel additive control module malfunction

VERIFY FREEZE FRAME DATA HAS BEEN RECORDED
•  Has the FREEZE FRAME DATA been recorded?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Record the FREEZE FRAME DATA on the repair order, then go to the next step.

VERIFY REPAIR INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
•  Verify related service repair information availability.
•  Is any related repair information available?
Yes
Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available repair information.
If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY QUANTITY OF FUEL ADDITIVE
•  Verify that the fuel additive in fuel additive tank.
•  Is fuel additive in fuel additive tank?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Refill and reset cumulated quantity in fuel additive control module, then go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT DTC P1927 TROUBLESHOOTING IS COMPLETED
•  Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
•  Clear the DTC from the fuel additive control module memory using the M-MDS.
•  Start the engine and warm-up to normal operating temperature.
•  Retrieve the DTC using the M-MDS.
•  Is the PENDING CODE same DTC present?
Yes
Replace fuel additive control module, then go to the next step.
No
Go to the next step.

VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
•  Perform "After Repair Procedure".
•  Is there any DTC present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
Troubleshooting completed.
